This passage explains the relationship I have with my mom perfectly. Our deepest conversations are about animals. If it wasn't for the horses and dogs and other critters in my life, I do not think I would even has a semi-functional relationship with my mom. It makes me realize how much animals are a part of my life. They keep my life from falling apart just by their mere presence.
