Grrr

Well, I'm stuck with only 12 units this quarter....again. And one of the classes is a class that I don't need. Why can't I get the classes I need? Lameness all over. I guess I have to start taking summer classes or take some classes at a community college. This sucks a lot.

So....

Today has been pretty depressing. I feel so drained and lethargic. I have been sitting in my room all day. I only went out once to get a bagel, but then I came write back into my room. I need to stop being so depressing. I frustrate myself. Sometimes I wish I had someone to just drag me all over the place. Even if I say I don't feel like it, they could just force me. I haven't even seen the sunlight, today. Grrr... Ok, I'm going to spend some time outside now. I should get a job or something so this doesn't happen anymore.....

No Classes :(

So... Today was frustrating to say the least. It was the first day of spring quarter and because of the lovely budget cuts that have been made in education this past year, I was once again lacking classes. Anyways, I had to wake up early to try to get a Psychology class at 8am where I was the 7th person on the waitlist. Of course the professor only adds 5 people. Grr....

At 2:30 I tried to get a chemistry class, but of course I couldn't! I tried to get an Animal Breeding class afterwards and couldn't get that one either! It's so frustrating not being able to get any classes. At this rate, I am going to be a super super senior that still hasn't graduated because I can't get the classes I want!

I don't think the education systems should have to suffer so much. I pay good money to go to school! School's should not have to cut classes. It just makes everyone unhappy and stressed out, which in turn will probably end up shortening my life. So thanks a lot California for killing me.

My Epiphany

Well... As I sit here studying for my chemistry final, I found myself thinking about my future and I had an epiphany. I want to get into vet school, but with the way things are going right now, that seems very unlikely. Vet school is extremely competitive, and I need really good grades to get in along with a ton of extracurriculars and volunteer work. So things aren't looking good for me.

Anyways, I was thinking "What if I don't get into vet school? What will I do?" I think I found an answer. I don't know if it is THE answer, but it's an answer none the less. Well, I guess it's answer. Back on track...If I don't get into vet school, I have decided to take a year off to try to "improve" my chances of getting in by travelling somewhere to volunteer with animals like Australia or somewhere in Europe like Croatia (they have endangered brown bears, just so you know). Or I could get an internship somewhere...anywhere....I don't care where. It could be in California or Antarctica for all I care.

After my year "off," if I still haven't gotten into vet school I will either go to graduate school, maybe with an emphasis on animal genetics because I find genetics interesting OR I will get my RVT, so I can be a registered Veterinary Technician... It's not a vet but at least I have choices. I guess I could go to a vet school that is not accredited on an island somewhere. I mean, lots of doctors get their MD from places no one has heard of, right?

Odds are I won't get into vet school. It is definitely depressing to say the least, but what can I do? At least I know I have other options...I just needed to let it out. It's not like many people will read this anyways.
